I wonder what makes them want to do that or what drives them to do that. It seems impossible there ability.

Well! When food is scarce, some species use their own tehcnical abilities to reach where others cannot. Most goats can climb where no other mammal can.
Also, I have seen a snow leopard hunting in such conditons. Both animals have to be very cautious, so it seems a kind of slow motion hunt. However, the goat has limited the kind of predators that could catch it, to only a handful.
Goats are definitely adapted to mountain life.
