This photo reminds me of Karen Blixen’s (Isak Dinesen) adventures on the kikuyuland, and her dedications to the kikuyu people (although they might have said it differently). Nature has its magic on people, animal, plants, every living creature on earth. I am greateful to those African people who keep the very last piece of tranquility on their land.
Karen Blixen is the local hero in Kenya.
For keeping the last piece of tranquility, Tanzania has a record 5% of its land mass reserved for National Parks. This makes eco-tourism and safaris a very large part of their national income (16% of the national GDP in 1999, and still climbing). Many economists believe that if tourism is properly developed and promoted, it could well becomes Tanzania’s leading industry.
